Frequently Asked Questions

How do I get saved?

Accepting Christ (getting saved) is the greatest decision you could ever make.
The good news is, it's pretty simple to do.

All you have to do is...

ASK Him to come into your life,
BELIEVE that He died on the cross and rose three days later to pay for your sins,
CONFESS that you are a sinner, then ask for and receive His forgiveness.

Romans 10:9-10
"That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord,"
and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified,
and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved."

What denomination is GCOG?

The Granbury Church of God is a pentecostal,
Bible-believing community of people who are focused on helping
people connect, grow, and serve through Jesus Christ.

GCOG is part of The Church of God Organization that is based out of Cleveland, Tennessee. The church was founded in 1886 upon the principles of Christ as they are revealed in the Bible. It has its foundation of faith and practice in the Scriptures and the vital experience of its constituents is scripturally oriented.

How do I become a member?

Membership is very important, but not everything.
While we love adding new members to our church,
our main goal is to see souls saved and lives changed.
That being said, becoming a member is as easy as saying YES!
